The Hegar dilator set contains 8 stainless steel dilators for experienced dilatation, probing and sounding. Each double-ended dilator has different sized ends, so the complete set offers sixteen sizes, ranging from 3mm to 18mm in 1mm increments. Each dilator has a slightly curved, smooth shaft and rounded tips for comfort and easy insertion while producing intense stimulation and pleasure.

The purpose of these sounding rods is to gently and gradually expand the urethra when inserted into the urethra for such dilation. The sounding kit can also be used in areas other than the urethra, such as the vagina, anus or prostate.
